Questions • Did you teach the Little Seamstress how to swim? • How does your key ring look like? • How did you lose your key ring? • Did you really know how to fill the headman’s tooth? • Did the village headman really needed to be tied down? • Isn’t it dangerous for the Little Seamstress to dive down such depth? • What would you do if she drowned in the torrent? • I have no questions, thanks.

  3. Answer from Luo • Yes, I taught her the breaststroke. Before I showed her, she only used her arms to swim. Back to questions

  4. Answer from Luo • My key ring was given by my mother. It was a birthday present, when I was a boy. It was gold-plated, and decorated with tiny jade leaves. I always carried it with me, it was my talisman to ward off misfortune. It’s gone now. I lost it. Back to questions

  5. Answer from Luo • Me and the Little Seamstress made up a game that we would play when we were at the water paradise. I would throw my key ring into the pool, and she would dive in and fetch it back. One day, I threw it in, but the Little Seamstress couldn’t find it. Instead, she was bitten by a snake on her middle finger. Back to questions

  6. Answer from Luo • I’ve seen my father fill people’s teeth since I was a boy, although I haven’t done it before, but I was quite sure that it wouldn’t be very hard. It turned out okay. Back to questions

  7. Answer from Luo • Well, it was easier after he was tied down. But I only did it because he was going to take Ma to the Public security office. Back to questions

  9. Answer from Luo • What do you mean? I believe the torrent is very safe! She would never drown! She’s a great swimmer, but if that ever happens, which I doubt greatly, I would dive in, and save her.
