  2. Colobine Diet They are almost totally herbivores, mostly eating leaves, flowers, and seeds. They occasionally eat insects and other small animals. To help their digestion, mostly with hard-to-digest leaves, they have a multipart, complex stomach.

  3. Habitat Most species are arboreal, although some are more terrestrial. They are found in many different habitats of different climate zones (rain forests, mangroves, mountain forests, and savanah), but not in deserts and other dry areas. They live in groups, but in different group forms.

  4. Life Expectancy The Mommy monkey is pregnant for an average of six to seven months. Babies are weaned for approximately one year and are mature at 3 to 6 years. Their life expectancy is approximately 20 years.

  5. Size and Color Colobines are medium-sized primates with long tails and many different colors. The coloring of nearly all the young animals differs a lot from the adults.
