October 15th 2012 – City of Spokane – The Salvation Army SYSTEM IMPACT - Collaboration between City / Homeless Providers / HFCA. - Qualitative and Quantitative Evaluation / Learning Community. - The assessment of 1834 families in 2013 has given us a comprehensive picture of homeless and at-risk families needs in Spokane. - Rapid Re-Housing has been effective for many families entering the system. - Housing Inventory doesn’t match needs of the population. - All temporary housing programs have moved to an interim housing model. Serving all families and adjusting service model to fit client need. - Most interim housing providers have integrated rapid re-housing case management into their programs CENTRALIZED HYBRID HFCAHomeless Families Coordinated Assessment LOCAL INFORMATION - Spokane County- Approx. 475,000 residents - 210,000 within the City of Spokane - 1,763.79 square miles - Median household income, 2007-2011 $49,257 - Persons below poverty level, percent, 2007-2011 : 14.4% - Average rental vacancy rate: 4.3% - 2013 Point in Time: 1030 Total Persons
