  2. Objectives Content Objective: Students will learn of the impact of Westward Expansion on Native Americans living in the West. Language Objective: Students will draw their idea of Native Americans living in the west. After class discussion, watching some videos they will draw another picture and compare the two pictures.

  7. Reduced population through warfare and disease (Battle of Wounded Knee)

  8. Assimilation attempts and lifestyle changes (ex: reduction of buffalo population)

  9. Reduced their homelands through treaties that were broken
