Life and the Environment • Habitat – Where specific plant and animal species are naturally found • Niche – The effects an organisms has on it’s environment, and the effects an environment has on an organism
Succession • Progression that results in a stable community • Primary Succession • A series of changes which occur in an entirely new habitat which has never been colonized before • Secondary Succession • A series of changes which take place in a previously colonized, but disturbed or damaged habitat
