  2. What is VPS Integration? • No Integration. • DTMF(Inband) Integration. • DPT Integration. • APT Integration. (This is not supported !)

  3. Comparison of each Integration

  4. No Integration • All the responses of VPS are depending on the speed of the TONE-DETECTION function that automatically identifies the Progress-Tone of PBX system designed for the human users. • Special function can not present by this interface. • This is basically for the 3rd party VPS system.

  5. The conditions of No Integration • SLT interface extension line.

  6. Supported functions in No Integration • Same as normal SLT extension port.

  7. DTMF Integration • To increase the response of VPS, PBX sends the DTMF signal as the control command to VPS. (DTMF Status) • And to specify the MailBox number automatically, PBX presents the MailBox number by DTMF signal for the convenience of the owner of the MailBox. (Follow-on ID) • But, because of the minimum requirement of the duration of the DTMF signal(80msec), the speed is better but not so fast still. • This integration method can not send the complex information because DTMF can transmit only 16(*) different signals.

  8. The conditions of DTMF Integration • SLT interface extension line. • Belonging to the VM(DTMF) group. • Up to 2 groups of VM(DTMF) type. • Up to 32 ports for each VM(DTMF) group. • VM(DTMF) group(2) and VM(DPT) group(2) can be created individually in the system.

  9. Supported functions in DTMF Integration • Forward to MailBox. • Intercept to MailBox. • Transfer to MailBox. • Direct MailBox access. • Selectable VPS service for FWD and IRNA. (New!) • DTMF Status. (flexible) • One-touch VM feature access. • VM Transfer.

DPT Integration • To improve the response of VPS, PBX and VPS communicate by the digital communication that is basically designed for PBX-DPT. • Because it is the digital communication, we can send and receive various information than other way of the integration. • Because the interface of PBX-DPT is proprietary, this integration method is allowed only for our KX-TD series and KX-TVP series.

The conditions of DPT Integration • DPT interface extension line. • Belonging to the VM(DPT) group. • Up to 2 groups of VM(DPT) type. • Up to 12 ports(24 ch) for each VM(DPT) group. • All the integration line of the same VM(DPT) group must be connected to the same Extension card. • VM(DTMF) group(2) and VM(DPT) group(2) can be created individually in the system.

Supported functions in DPT Integration • Forward to MailBox. • Intercept to MailBox. • Transfer to MailBox. • Direct MailBox access. • VPS Trunk service. • Time mode notification. • Caller-ID notification. • Status notification. • Paging by VPS. • Live Call Screening. • 2Way Recording • Quick setup of VPS. • PBX data control by VPS. (Call-FWD set/cancel, Timed reminder callback) • One-touch VM feature access. • VM Transfer.

  13. Supported functions in DPT Integration • VPS data control by PBX. (Mail-Box clear in check-out, COS change in check-in New!Ver.1.1) • Provide 4 different responses of VPS(Voice Mail Service, Automated Attendant Service, Interview Service and Custom Service) for each different DIL/DDI/MSN call. (New! Ver.1.0)
