  2. 1. Adjective agreement. • In French all adjectives must agree in gender and in number with the noun that they modify. • You MUST know the gender of that noun.

  22. INVARIABLE ADJECTIVES • Sympa is short for sympathique. It is the same in the masculine and in the feminine form. It is almost invariable but you do add –s in the plural: sympas. • Cool, marron and orange never change.

  23. 2. Placement • Adjectives in French go after the noun which they modify: • Des baskets blanches • Un garçonsportif • Unefille blonde
