Welcome to Business Technology Welcome to the Business Technology Department. We are committed to working with you to ensure that your college experience provides you with the skills you need to be successful. Our faculty and staff are focused on teaching and learning. If you do your part by participating in class, completing your assignments, taking advantage of college programs and services, and tackling the challenges associated with building your knowledge and skills; you will have the depth and breadth you need to advance in your chosen field. Business Technology offers many options to complete your certificate and degree programs. We have evening and day time classes at two convenient locations, Pendleton Campus and Anderson Campus. Additionally, you can complement classroom instruction with online classes, or in many cases, complete your entire program online. I am so glad you are here and I wish you well with your studies. Additional Things To Know • You will use eTC for: • Email • Registration, adds and drops, withdrawals. • To access blackboard. • Student information announcements. You must get familiar with eTC and Blackboard and use the tools. To access eTC: From an outside computer, access www.tctc.edu Click ETC Logo To find your eTC Username, follow the instructions on the TCTC Student Directory Search. Your password is yourdate of birthentered in mmddyy format (no hyphens or slashes). Everything must be entered in lowercase.
Additional Things To Know Click the learn tab: you will have access to blackboard, the academic web, and have the ability to verify your schedule, and locate learning support activities. Your teachers may use blackboard to assign homework, store files for your use, administer tests, make announcements and much more….
Know Your Responsibilities • READ the attendance policy and know that the teacher may withdraw you if you do not attend. • It is YOUR responsibility to withdraw from a class. If you do not withdraw within announced timelines, you could earn an F which will affect your GPA. • You MUST meet with an advisor before you can register for classes. Your advisor’s name is listed on your records – call or e-mail for an appointment. • KEEP your eyes posted for announcements regarding early registration. You may sign up for an appointment with your advisor. Who? What? When? Where? How?
