  2. Scope of Activity Research efforts Theses and dissertations Publications Training Research in progress

  3. Research efforts Using SCENAR-therapy in thermal injury patients (I.I.Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Care, Saint-Petersburg) Findings: Anti-inflammatory effect in resuscitation patients. Substantially improved transplantation results.

  4. Saint-PetersburgMedical Academy of Postgraduate Studies Physical Therapy Department 1. Pediatrics (SCENAR-therapy of children with consequences of perinatal CNS affection) Findings: when treating the cervical spine and shoulder girdle, SCENAR-therapy removes or alleviates headaches, neckpain and dizziness, decreases disorders in the craniovertebral region, improves cerebral hemodynamics in the carotid and vertebrobasilar systems. The comparative analysis showed that drug therapy provides an optimal therapeutic effect on clinical presentations and cognitive functions, improves cerebral hemodynamics in the carotid system mainly; The electric pulse therapy causes positive changes in the craniovertebral region, improves cerebral hemodynamics in the carotid and vertebrobasilar systems.

  5. Saint-PetersburgMedical Academy of Postgraduate Studies Physical Therapy Department Findings: SCENAR improves the results of multiple treatment of lumbosacral osteochondrosis patients with reflex syndromes. Good and satisfactory results immediately after multiple treatment that included SCENAR in 93.3% patients, while the same treatment without SCENAR produced similar results in only 85.7% patients. Including SCENAR in multiple treatment extends remission periods and reduces the number of exacerbations per year in lumbosacral osteochondrosis patients with reflex syndromes.

  6. ZDRAVNITSA Children’s Specialized Clinical Sanatorium Research Institute of Children’s Balneology and Physiotherapy Findings: SCENAR-therapy is proven to be effective for joint inflammation in children when combined with mud applications.

  7. Theses and Dissertations YU.YU.CHEBOTARYOVA MECHANISMS OF POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME DEVELOPMENT IN PUBERTY, CLINICAL COURSE, PREVENTION AND TREATMENT Findings: SCENAR-therapy is the most effective method for correcting the developing polycystic ovarian syndrome, restores proper functioning of the ANS, normalizes hormonal status, catecholamine indices, thus promotingnormal ovulatory cycles. SCENAR-therapy improves the structural morphology of the ovaries (confirmed by ultrasound). It also improves somatic health of patients. SCENAR-therapy was compared with hormonal treatment and non-hormonal drugs.

  8. I.E. Holmogorova (Candidate of Medical Sciences) USING ELECTRIC PULSE THERAPY IN THE EARLY POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD AFTER SURGERY FOR TUBO-PERITONEAL INFERTILITY SCENAR-therapy in multiple rehabilitation treatment of patients in early postoperative period after tuboplasty • helps the patients to overcome the postoperative period easier • decreases the intensity of pain syndrome • increases resistance indexes • neutralizes negative changes in the state of lipid peroxidation system • reduces the in-hospital period.

  9. S.O.Kolobova (Candidate of Medical Sciences) THE EFFECTIVENESS SCENAR-THERAPY IN MULTIPLE TREATMENT OF INFECTIOUS MISCARRIAGE Findings: SCENAR-therapy in multiple treatment of infectious miscarriage decreases • rate of pregnancy miscarriages • early placenta formation • intrauterine growth retardation • premature birth • occurrence and severity of inflammation in the afterbirth • incidence of fetal infections

  10. E.N.Guskova(Candidate of Medical Sciences) The effect of SCENAR-therapy on free radical processes in tissues and erythrocyte membranes in oxidative stress Findings: SCENAR provides a good anti-radical effect, promotes restoration of the antioxidant status of erythrocytes, produces the membrane protective effect, arrests endogenous intoxication, and restores the prooxidant-antioxidant balance in coronary heart disease patients.

  11. E.G.Los (Candidate of Medical Sciences) PROLONGED CALCIUM CHANNEL BLOCKERS AND SCENAR-THERAPY FOR TREATING HYPERTENSIVE CRISES IN THE PRE-ADMISSION PERIOD Findings: SCENAR-therapy of patients with uncomplicated hypertensive crisis allows, in 40 minutes, to significantly decrease systolic, diastolic, pulse and mean arterial blood pressure. SCENAR-therapy provides a substantial regression of symptoms and its effectiveness is comparable with that of the drug treatment.

  12. Foreign SCENAR-research Some results The National Institute For Holistic Addiction Studies USA Boston University USA

  14. Research on SCENAR-therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is planned

  15. Publications 2009 Skoraya Meditsinskaya Pomosch (Emergency), Izvestija (News) SFedU, Experimental Biology and Medicine Bulletin Journals Perspectiveness of using biotechnologies in examinations and multiple treatment of cancer patients G.Ya.Mariyanovskaya, L.P.Barsukova, A.I.Shykhlyarova, V.H.Anapalyan, L.A.Orlovskaya.Rostov Cancer Research Institute of Russian Medical Technologies The article described the results of investigation for 59 colon and rectal cancer patients T2-4N0-2 М 0 of 2 to 4 degrees of severity before and after operative intervention (radical and palliative surgeries)whose multiple treatment included physical and pharmacological multimodal intervention (intake of succinic (amber) acid, use of low-frequency magnetic field and SCENAR-therapy on biological active zones and points considering current complaints of patients). 2 years later the analysis of lifespan for the patients. All radical surgery patients survived for more than 2 years while in the group that did not receive the multimodal treatment - only 66.6% patients. The average life span of palliative surgery patients exceeded twice that of the patients who did not receive the multimodal treatment.

  16. Isradipine versus SCENAR-Therapy in Non-Complicated Hypertensive Crises A.V.Tarakanov, E.G.Los Rostov State Medical University • SCENAR-therapy produces a significant regression of major complaints specific to hypertensive crises, without any negative side effects.

  17. Effect of Arthrofoon and SCENAR Therapy on Parameters of Lipid Peroxidation and Antioxidant System of the Blood in Patients with Peritonitis in Postoperative Period Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, Volume 148, Number 3 / September, 2009 A. V. Tarakanov, S. Kh. Luspikayan, N. P. Milyutina and A. V. Rozhkov
