October 2002, LNF OPERA Collaboration Meeting Brick and Wall dimensions S.Buontempo, J.Dupraz, A.Franceschi, D.Frekers, H.Pessard, P.Mugnier, E.Vanzanella. • What do we call a “brick” ? • Brick components vs Responsible Institutes • Review of brick component dimensions & tolerances • Main steps to make a brick, dimensions & tolerances • Final brick 3D sizes • Wall dimensions
What do we call a “brick” ? On last October 1st and 2nd the present working group had a meeting at CERN. The goal was to evaluate in all details the brick components and the procedure of brick manufacturing. The result was summarized in a document circulated to the OPERA Collaboration on last October 18th. In order to fit with the present OPERA schedule we need to endorse this document in the present meeting.
What do we call a “brick” ? ECC CS (one emulsion sheet covered by laminated paper) CSS Carton paper Pile (emulsion, lead, emulsion,…) Skates Skates Laminated paper (exploded view, not to scale)
