What Are Fats? They are a source of energy in foods. All fats are combinations of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. Fats even helps the body to absorb and move the vitamins A, D, E, and K through the bloodstream. they provide essential fatty acids which cannot be made by the body and had to be obtained through food. They reduce water loss from the skin surface. They are important for the proper functioning of the body.

Ways to Reduce Fats • You can boil, bake or grill your food instead of frying them.Frying your food makes them unhealthy as your food will absorb some of the oil during the process. • Try cooking with herbs, spices, lemon juice, etc., instead of butter or margarine.They are a healthier choice as they do not contain that much of fats compared to the later.
Ways to Reduce Fats • Choose low fat and non-fat dairy foods. • Eat fruit instead of high fat desserts and snacks.Fruits are a healthier choice as they contain a lot of vitamins that is essential for your body. • Remove the skin of your chicken, turkey and other poultry. • Exercise regularly to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
