ARE FEELINGS A RELIABLE EVIDENCE OF PARDON? • John 6:44,45 “everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” • FEELINGS PROVE NOTHING! • Genesis 37:33 “without doubt Joseph is torn to pieces.” • Genesis 45:26 “he did not believe them.” • He had been DECEIVED BY HIS FEELINGS! • Evidence, true or false, can produce the SAME FEELINGS! • Matthew 13:14,15; Jeremiah 17:9; Acts 23:1; 26:9

IS THE WORD OF GOD ADEQUATE EVIDENCE OF SALVATION? • YES – Titus 1:2 “cannot lie” WALK BY FAITH – 2 Corinthians 5:7 COMES BY HEARING THE WORD OF GOD – Romans 10:17 HOW DOES THE WORD OF GOD BEAR WITNESS THAT WE ARE SAVED? Romans 8:16,17 “bears witness WITH our spirit” John 14:26; 16:13 “Spirit of truth” “guide you” John 6:63 “the words that I speak” 1 John 2:5 “By this we know that we are in Him”

  4. WHAT IS THE TESTIMONY OF THE HONLY SPIRIT BY WHICH WE KNOW IF WE ARE SAVED? Holy Spirit Says: Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved…” Can YOUR spirit say I HAVE? Holy Spirit Says: Acts 2:38 “Repent…be baptized …for the remission of sins…” Can YOUR spirit say I HAVE? Holy Spirit Says: Galatians 3:26-29 “sons of God through faith” “baptized into Christ” Can YOUR spirit say I HAVE believed and been baptized – thus a CHILD OF GOD?

  5. WHAT IS THE TESTIMONY OF THE HONLY SPIRIT BY WHICH WE KNOW IF WE ARE SAVED? Holy Spirit Says: 1 Corinthians 15:58 “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” Can YOUR spirit say I HAVE? Holy Spirit Says: Revelation 2:10 “Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life” Can YOUR spirit say I AM? By this evidence we can KNOW that we are saved, and the RIGHT to JOY and PEACE which we read about in Philippians 4:7
