picture & contributors Upstream PID Review requirements (almost) fulfilled (AB dixit) TOF0-I being rescued from INFN funding crisis (with CalSys, KL and TOF II) Building & making installation plans (Aug-Sep 07) CKOV (LC) TOF0/I and Cal Sys (MB, YK) Completing design of TOF I global PMT shield cage (GG) ….. to be funded ! quite effective, mitigating local PMT shielding requirements Downstream A) EMCal/KL can be completed, if funding really OK, for installation with TOF0 & I in Aug-Sep 07 (DO for LT) a (simple) review procedure should/could endorse that B) TOF II : funding being solved, for installation Mar 2008 being driven to final design from PID (MB) & Analysis (RS/MA) teams as is global PMT shield cage (GG) (RS/MA) local PMT shielding issues, more severe, being finalized measurements in mag field in progress in Milano (MB) For all above, front end (RT) and read out (JSG) electronics well defined performance requirement being properly formulated (CR) complete G4MICE performance re-evaluation being taken up seriously (YK) Then C) EMCal/SW further away, in 2008, funding not tackled yet conceptual G4MICE design well advanced, proven to be necessary AND sufficient (RS) practical design started (GG, PC, AB) V. to Alan for preview while few last answers still being added, MICE Note soon V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Lucien • to AB for preview V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
TOF0 & I , Maurizio OK V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
OK, if funds confirmed to be available V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
OK, if funds there V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
TOF I global shield (Ghislain) …………… NB to be funded and farmed !! After tech drawings finalized by Ghislain in consultation with Steve V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Cage shield vs Plate shield (Maurizio) GG cage GG plate + more local iron Choice soon V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Frascati test beam, YK So “TOFI-TOF0” < 70 ps V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
For real “TOFI-TOF0”, useful statistics only with (worse) active splitter useful to establish that time walk correction is needed (FADC) V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Domizia (and Ludovico) KL … 3/7 exist …. can be finished for phase I , if funds NB … L. managed to make them larger than anticipated V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
TOF II, Maurizio …. aiming at Mar 08 fixed V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
funds required, to be confirmed to be available V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
TOF II global shield, Ghislain 600 now 700 now being redone to be funded and farmed !! after tech drawings finalized by Ghislain in consultation with Steve V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
More local PMT shield needed Final word from Milano’s mag test stand V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Radii of downstream holes and aperture (Rikard) V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Radii of downstream holes and aperture (Marco) to be reduced AMAP! to be all checked through V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Downstream apertures yesterday’s decisions • Front plate of TOF II shield 600 mm • Lateral size of TOF II 600 mm • Back plate of TOF II shield 700 mm • Lateral size of KL 900 mm • Lateral size of SW ≥ 1000 mm } V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
front end (Roumen) PID electronics OK of splitter & stretcher for FADC digitization of all detectors and read out (J. Sebastien) electronics well defined have (or can have) it all available for TOF0, I, KL V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
70 ps OK for longitudinal emittance, Chris ps V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
Rikard :KL + SW do the e/µ separation with 99.9 efficiency 99,8 purity See MICE Note 164 V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
SW detailed design being tackled (Pietro, Gianrossano, Alan) On the floor in 2008? TO BE FUNDED ! V. Palladino PID Detectors & shields
