Visio 2002 Methodology • Draw once, save and share • Use templates for format & stencils • Draw most complex first, copy & delete • Use strengths of software tools • Word for text • Excel for calcs and format • Visio for diagram detail • ACAD for flrplan Modification
Branch Stds Look & Feel • Consistency = Professionalism • 11x17 PB Template (PB2) • Use smallest Line Weight • Keep Font = 8, 10, or 12 pt • Minimize & use demur Color • Maintain White Space • Remember 3CS (Clean, Clear, Concise) • KISS
Visio File Types • .VSD = Visio 2002 Drawing File • Main multi page drawing • Incl toolbar, stencil, and user preferences • .VSS = Visio 2002 Stencil File • Shape library or holder • .VST = Visio 2002 Template File • Same as VSD but creates copy
