Types of Fastener Finishing Treatments

Some fasteners are supposed to look attractive. They are meant t be used in equipment and GI Nut Bolt Manufacturer, Flange Bolt Manufacturer that requires high finishing. For instance, home appliances have to look good and thus, finishing treatments like zinc electroplating is used to provide a shine to the fasteners. The fasteners are dipped in a liquid metal bath by fastener manufacturers and they are made to go through an electric current to give them a shiny finish.

  1. Types of Fastener Finishing Treatments Fasteners are very crucial tools for any kind of manufacturing unit. Fasteners are primarily used to join two parts of any machine or equipment together. There are various types of fasteners supplied by fastener manufacturers in the market like screws, bolts, nails, washers and nuts. Fastener Manufacturer is made of metals like brass, stainless steel, aluminium or even bronze. These tools are then decorated with finishing or coating. The finishing on any kind of fasteners is done using some specific types of finishing treatments. The Fastener Suppliers finishing treatments are generally done either for providing an attractive look to the fasteners or to fight corrosion. Here are some of the most common treatments used by fastener manufacturers for fastener coating or finishing. 1.Black Oxide Treatment Steel is a common material used for manufacturing fasteners. Stainless steel fasteners have anti-corrosive properties as they are treated with a black oxide coating. This is a common finishing technique used by fastener manufacturers in producing steel-based and stainless steel fasteners. The fasteners are dipped into a

3. Anodizing: Most fasteners that we use in manufacturing units and around our homes use anodizing finishing technique. The fasteners are covered in a thin oxidised layer. This layer is coated on the fasteners using the electrolytic passivation process. After this layer is added, the Anchor Bolt Fasteners or Machine Screws Manufacturers can add any coating according to their needs and requirements. 4. Chromate Coating: Many fasteners are produced using zinc and aluminium. These fasteners made in zinc and chromium require a chromate coating or finishing to become anti- corrosive. This process helps in limiting the effect of oxidation on the metal surfaces. Fastener finishing is crucial to make the fastener anti-corrosive and attractive. Fastener suppliers like Fastener World deal in fasteners with all kinds of coating or finishing. You can find all types of fasteners in one place at Fastener World.
