Competitive Analsysis - What We Learned • Lacked clear navigation (i.e. no breadcrumbs, had to drill down to find information, etc) • More content, slower the site speed • Different methods for donations • Social media links
Key Points We Liked • Best site performance did not have a lot of media • Floating drop-downs allowed the user to find information quickly • Social networking integration (Facebook and Twitter)
Goal: Create a website that can be easily updated and maintained • CMS vs PHP/HTML Debate • + PHP/HTML - greater control over the website and integration with database (good for reporting) • + PHP/HTML - cheaper and flexible • +CMS - not technical
