Has Anyone Ever Told You…? • That they were ashamed of you? • Pip in Great Expectations… • We embarrass members of our family, friends, etc. but shame is different. • Rom. 5:5; Heb. 2:11; 11:16 I Peter 4:4, 11, 16
Don’t Be Ashamed… • Of your faith, belief. • “You think you’re the only ones going to heaven.” • No, God’s children are going to heaven. Are we one of the children? • Hold on to the truth – Matt. 7:21-23
Don’t Be Ashamed… • Of our pattern of worship. • “Can’t you people afford a piano?” “Is no one here musically inclined?” • Lord’s Supper every Sunday? • Only one contribution a week? You can’t raise enough money that way. • “Where’s the fellowship hall?”
