  2. Where We are Going? • Project Ruth in Bucharest, Romania

  3. PROJECT RUTH • Project Ruth exists to provide schooling, literacy training, educational recovery, humanitarian aid and wellness to children from poor backgrounds, especially from Roma communities. • Through different programs developed and supported by Project Ruth, children are encouraged to reach their full potential, to integrate in communities and to develop an attitude of acceptance for others.

  4. Why We are Going? • To share the love of Christ with others • To learn more about ourselves and God’s plan for our lives • To Stretch and Challenge ourselves spirtually

  5. WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO THERE? • Teach English to Roma Children • Help out in Project Ruth Classrooms • Crafts • Bible Studies • Worship Music

  11. Jonny Abbott Active in Eternity, CYM, and Worship Band. Eternity Youth Rep “I want to go to Romania to learn more about God and myself and to serve the people of Romania.”

  12. Kate Bilner Loves Chocolate, piano and trampoline “I want to go to Romania to be able to experience a completely different culture and to help the children. I hope it will inspire me to do charity work in poorer countries in the future.”

  13. Sam Carrington Active in Eternity, Emerge, CYM and Sizewell “I want to go to Romania to directly have an impact on on the lives of children living in the poorest of conditions.” Strongly Believes Mission Work is his Calling.

  14. MishaDewes Loves playing piano and being with friends “I hopefully will become more aware of how lucky and privledged I am and also to be able to share God and his wonders with younger children.

  15. Matthew Finch Loves photography, painting, and film making D of E “I hope to learn more about myself and what God is calling me to do in the future. I want to get to grips with the wider world and gain a greater understanding of Christianity in other cultures.”

  16. Rachel Harris Enjoys music and swimming Works with Energizers and Emerge. Eternity Youth Rep “I believe it will be an amazing opportunity to experience another culture and grow closer to God while building relationships with others in the team and people we meet.”

  17. Benjamin Harrison Burlington Youth Rep, Eternity and Emerge Corporal in Air Training Corp D of E “I have no idea what I will learn about myself or God but am excited at what He has in store for me.”

  18. Rachel Healy Loves working with Children In Sunday School “At Soul Survivor 2010, a member of the team gave me a hug and told me God had spoken to her and told her that I was going to be sent on a mission where I’d find lots of children to help and to show them God. I strongly believe this is that trip.”

  19. Lawrence Rabone Active in Scouting Cricket and Football “I would love to devote a week to God and serving others. It would be a week for me to take a step back, helping to look at my life in a new light and put some perspective on my often trivial worries.”

  20. Peter Rabone Enjoys Cricket and Football, Cycling Works with Video at church and Eternity “I want to help people who share the same saviour and to learn about a new culture and to learn about God.”

  21. Saffron Shomaly Enjoys dancing, singing, art and cheerleading “The very thought of going to Romania brings me excitement! I feel that it would be an amazing opportunity for me to share the gospel and encourage others to get to know Jesus. I am interested in going into mission work as a career.”
