Private Organization Aid • Aids in 3 ways: construction, medical, and food distribution • Construction • Government Buildings • Schools: empowering citizens to become leaders • Medical Clinics • Medical • Food Distribution • Administered directly to poor
Why is aid form private organizations more beneficial? • Economically • Less corruption in government • Creates jobs-generating economy • Humanitarian • Food distribution does not depress prices for local farmers • Better local economy • Equipt and Motivated – Creates Relationships
After visiting Haiti in the summer of 2012, and researching aid provided to third world countries by private organizations, I decided to raise money for freshwater wells in Ganthier and Michaud, Haiti.
