Strengthening women and gender mainstreaming in indonesia Indonesian Government consists of 34 Ministries and 11 Non-ministerial Institutions Including the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Children Protection; The Ministry of Cooperative and SmallMedium Enterprises (SME’s)

Government Regulation No.17/2013 concerning the Implementation of Law No. 20/2008 concerning the Management of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; • MoU between the State Minister of Cooperative and SmallMedium Enterprises and the State Minister of Women Empowerment and Children Protection, No.05/2010 concerning Women Empowerment in the Gender Initiative through Cooperative and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development.
The perspective of women empowerment and gender mainstreaming in Indonesia ROLES : • The Ministry of Women Empowerment and Children Protection As the coordinator of Gender Mainstreaming for all Ministries/Institutions and Provincial, District and City governments all over Indonesia. • The Ministry of Cooperative and Small, Medium Enterprises (SME’s) Improving and Developing Women participation in cooperative and entrepreneurship.
the ministry of women empowerment and children PROTECTION: functions • Promoting, coordinating the extension of political support all around Indonesia; • Promoting, coordinating multi-stakeholders cooperation to optimize utilization of the existing resources; • Promoting, coordinating the efforts to improve the capability of human resource cooperative and micro, small and medium enterprises coaches to also understand the gender mainstreaming in Indonesia.
The ministry of cooperative and small medium enterprises: functions • The empowerment coordinator of inter-ministerial/institution and all governmental levels, cooperative and SME’s, including women-based cooperative and micro and small & medium enterprises; • Human resources capacity building for the apparatus through Cooperative Movement and the community in terms of cooperative and entrepreneurship; • Promote the database development of gender mainstreaming, development and empowerment of cooperative as a cooperative policy with cooperative values and principles.
OUTPUT Various Policies and Programs in terms of theDevelopment of Cooperative and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises which are gender responsive to access to, and participate in the Cooperative and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development in Indonesia is established.
