Patterned (stamped) concrete is an innovative system. • It is applied on streets, parking area, ramps, walkways, thematic parks, patios, terrazzo and swimming pools . • It is possible to create an art by using various models of molds and it is possible to offer various architectural possibilities.
Stamped concrete is another common technique of decorative concrete. • It literally involves stamping a pattern and/or texture into freshly laid concrete. • That being said, stamped concrete requires that new concrete is poured. • This isn’t to say that you can’t add a stamped pattern or texture to your existing pavement/walkway, it just requires a few intermediate steps.
Composition of materials: • 95% local (sand, gravel, cement and water), • 5% to be imported • It helps to save/avoid destruction/spoil of mountains due to marble quarries
Any pattern • Any color • Any finishing
evidences of 22 years lifetime in Sicilian towns with similar weather of Tripoli • no trace of any repair due to excavations (pipe, cable, etc) • price is competitive 34,500 LD/sqm (installation included) on top of standard concrete base 200mm against 42,000 LD/sqm cut-to-size sandstone on top of standard concrete base.
How it works Video
POURING CONCRETE • LEVELLING CONCRETE • APPLICATION OF HARDENER • SMOOTHING • APPLICATION OF RELEASE POWDER • STAMPING WITH CHOOSEN PATTERN • EXECUTE JOINTS • SURFACE WASHING • APPLICATION FLOOR SEALER
Before concrete can be placed, the site needs to be prepared. The concrete will arrive in a ready mix concrete truck and will be poured Once wet concrete has been placed, a large board is used to screed the top of the concrete. Colour hardeners are applied to the surface of the concrete. They are used to add colour to freshly poured concrete.
This screeding process helps compact and consolidate the concrete, and begins the smoothing and leveling of the top of the concrete. Then there is the application of release powder. It will avoid that stamps stay attached to the concrete. Time to stamp with chosen pattern. Finishing takes place, joints and edges are worked into the concrete with special hand tools.
It follow the washing phase to rinse the surface from left dust. Application of sealer complete the work. Sealer for concrete floorings, is specific formulated to give e excellent resistance to agents atmospheric, to water, to frost, to industrial fumes of medium aggressiveness ( acid and basic), to oils , to muffs , to salts, to the diluted acids , to the alkaline solutions, to infrared and ultraviolet rays ecc.
It can be implemented with thickness varying from 7mm up to 25mm. • It can be colored with concrete acid stain. • Very strong, excellent adhesion, very easy to apply. • Very hard, water resistant. • Optimum resistance to usage and abrasion. • Very hard, nonslip surfaces are obtained, decorated and colored with colors that resist in time, long durability with resistance to abrasion, chlorine, salts, grease, oils, acid diluted solutions, water resistant. • Easy to clean with high pressure water jets and, when needed, using detergents normally sold in commerce.
