Westcoast Connector Gas Transmission • Spectra Energy-BG Group Project • 850 kilometres • Up to 4.2 billion Bcf/d of natural gas to serve BG Group’s proposed LNG Plant on Ridley Island • Conceptual route developed based on preliminary assessments of environmental, historical, cultural and constructability factors • Almost two years of stakeholder input collected/reflected in planning to date, ongoing consultation a priority • Environmental review process is underway • FID expected 2016 • Well positioned to serve west coast LNG exports Proposed Westcoast Connector Gas Transmission Project
Moving Forward • As a sector leader – we know how important it is to earn our social license and keep Aboriginal Peoples and communities engaged and the environment safe • We see great potential in Western Canada and will be a major player in the development of British Columbia’s northeastern LNG-related infrastructure • This province is sitting on enough natural gas to sustain several generations. In accessing this resource, we make sure to leave this beautiful land the way we found it.
