  7. How do I register???? Take out your yellow sheet. Grade 9 Courses

Required Courses • Citizenship (CITZ) - .5 credit • Human Geography (HUMGEO) - .5 credit or AP Human Geography (APHUMA, APHUMB) - 1 credit • Science 9 (SCI9A, SCI9B) - 1 credit • Physical Education 9 (PE 9) - .5 credit • Algebra (ALGA, ALGB) or Intermediate Algebra (INALGA, INALGB) - 1 credit Students who took Enriched Algebra in 8th grade will be placed in Honors Geometry instead of Algebra. • English 9 (ENG9A, ENG9B) - 1 credit

  11. Alternate Selections Please be sure to put down three alternatives that you would be OK with taking if your first choices do not work out! If you do not, we will choose alternates for you.

  12. Registration Day • February 6 and 7 • Parents sign up for a time before you leave…If you haven’t already. • Students will enter their course choices into the computer at this time • One on one time with a staff member

  16. What’s Next? • Build master schedule based on courses requested by students • Conflicts • Send “tentative” schedule in May • Mail schedules in August

  17. Schedule Change Policy • Not having a course pre-requisite • Failure of a class • An obvious error (i.e. two classes at the same time) • Graduation or university requirement • Unbalanced schedule (4 core classes in one semester) • Misplacement in a class as determined by the instructor
