  2. After You Import a Photo • When you import a photo into Adobe Photoshop, the program will often display the photo at a default resolution. • Generally it displays the photo at a resolution of 72

  3. What is Resolution? • Resolution is the fineness of detail in an image and is represented as ppi. • PPI is Pixels Per Inch • The higher the resolution the more pixels per inch there will be resulting in a bigger printout you could print.

  4. What do we want in Photoshop? • We need to set the Resolution to 300 instead of 72 • Make sure to always do this on every photo you work on to produce the best quality print for the yearbook. • Let’s run through this together!

  5. Photoshop Steps • Select the Image tab on the menu bar • Go to image size – select it • Uncheck Resample image • Set resolution to 300 • Save
