  2. Objective • Pass the YB terminology quiz with at least a B. • Finalize spin-offs for this year’s YB theme. • Update on the YB workshop attended by Mr. Briggs. - Theme adjustment? • Review camera procedures. • Last week in pictures. • Photo editor. • Editorial committee.

  3. Quiz • No talking. • Do your own work. • When done, turn paper over and sit quietly. • 18 points (academic)

  4. Theme and spin-offs • We need them! • Issue with our theme . . . “It’s not the end. It’s just the beginning.”

  5. YB Workshop • hjedesign.com • Log on information • Will be able to work from home • When we get an editor, he/she will be responsible in helping Mr. Briggs manage the ladder • Tonight, log on to Herf-Jones’ edesign. • Play around with the practice page.

  6. Camera Procedures • You are responsible for the camera you have checked out until your physically hand it to Mr. Briggs and he checks it back in. • The only other person who will assist with this is the (yet to be named) photo editor.

  7. Last week in pictures • Soccer, football, BBQ, club rush week, general student Life pics • Candid vs. posed? • Tomorrow’s assignments: two people per grade level – due Thursday • Having difficulty with FB action shots – working on the issue

  8. Need a Photo Editor • Huge interest in photography/photo-jouralism • Outgoing, not afraid to take charge, dependable-trustworthy, have the time, able to make a commitment and keep it! • Go to events and assist staff • Help manage photographic equipment • Become an expert on the DSLR • Organize photos on the server and edesign– make initial decisions on what to keep and then which to use

  9. Editorial Staff • Need a group of students to work with Mr. Briggs after school to make decisions on layouts, ladder, assignments, coverage of events (INC. HOMECOMING) • Will include photo editor and three other students. • Class nominations, vote, meet tomorrow after school from 3 – 4 p.m. and at least weekly throughout YB season • From this group (hopefully) find our editors
