The inaugural LTA-UITP Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE) 2013 ended positively with industry players set to deliver a people-centred land transport that meets the diverse needs of an inclusive society, and one that provides for a liveable and vibrant global city. The Congress provided an invigorating opportunity for knowledge exchange and an excellent platform for like-minded professionals to gather and share their vision and concerns for the urban land transport. Industry experts shared their insights and case studies on how they have successfully addressed urban transport issues and provided solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of urban transport systems worldwide. Power-PackedSITCE 2013 Congress Highlights Masaki OGATA, Vice-Chairman, East Japan Railway Company, Japan, spoke about maximising current benefits and future potentials of public transport .
