What does ADT do andwhy should it matter to me? • Alyth Development Trust raises, invests and redistributes funds to benefit the greatest number of people and to make this a great place to live and work. Our work is intended to make Alyth a great place to live, a great place to work, a welcoming place to visit and a town that is physically accessible to all. We want to continue a long-standing strong town culture that brings people together as a community and also that looks to the future and its challenges, particularly climate change.

Alyth Development Trust • Community Council led Consultation with the Alyth Community. • Incorporated 4 February 2015. • Vision, purpose and strategy agreed in 2016. • Gained Charitable status 26 July 2017. • Leading, participating in and supporting projects. • Provisional to full DTAS membership January 2019

  10. Why a Community Development Trust? Town centre Regeneration a priority Community Council activities are constitutionally limited Requirement for a body that can raise income, control expenditure, deliver projects and manage assets to meet community priorities. Community Council set up working group to research and advise on feasibility of setting up a Community Development Trust. • Consultation meetings held with the community • Research other in to activities of other community development trusts

Full Steam Ahead Community asked for volunteers to act as ADT Directors ADT Incorporated 4 February 2015 - Private company limited by guarantee without share capital Inaugural meeting held 7 April 2015 ADT asked to lead on town centre regeneration project in collaboration with PKC • Town centre regeneration • Derelict sites • Voluntary and community groups • Developing the local economy Appointment of Development Officer Fund raising activities – grant applications
