Product Maps. Sometimes maps can show us the types of things that are grown, raised, or mined in a certain place. We can see where corn and cattle are grown and raised in Iowa. We can find out where the most wheat is grown in Saskatchewan.

  6. We can see the spots where coal is mined in Pennsylvania.

  7. The types of maps that show us the types of things that are grown, raised, or mined are called product maps.

  9. Midland and Houston are near oil production.

  10. Fruit and vegetables are grown south of Corpus Christi.

  11. Hogs are raised near Fort Worth and El Paso.

  12. Vegetables and corn are grown near Austin.
