Pray for those in authority • Governments • Christian politicians • The EU “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” 1 Tim 2:1-2

Pray for the local church • Unity, purity and holiness • Love and understanding • Leaders • The word and the Spirit as foundation “…that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” Joh 17:21 “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Mat 16:18

  3. 3. Pray for families- and specifically for children • Marriages • The upbringing of children • The elderly • Unborn children – for protection

  4. 4. Pray for media • Truth • To be a tool in the hands of God • Christian media “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” Proverbs 3:3

  5. 5. Pray for education • Good education • Leaders of schools, teachers and staff • Christian schools • A safe environment in schools “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

  6. 6. Pray for business and companies • Good stewardship of resources • Leadership and entrepreneurs • Job opportunities • Christians in business

  7. 7. Pray for culture • Art that glorifies God • Sports
