Overview of Volunteer Procedures • Step 1: Volunteer • Get TB test results (from last 60 days) • Get application and fill out (available online, Family Community Office and at school sites) • Return application and copy of TB test to Family and Community Office (FCO) in Portable 15 • NEXT: Will the volunteer be unsupervised and working w/ students? • Volunteer • Set up appointment with HR for pre-volunteer process (fingerprinting) and get processed. YES NO • HR • Obtains results from DOJ/FBI generally 2-6 weeks* from live scan appt • Updates database and sends letter to volunteer notifying them of clearance or non-clearance; also sends letter/email to FCO to update their database • FCO notifies principal of clearance FCO updates database and FCO/ School Site provides FAQ and orientation powerpoint Volunteer begins volunteering 6/10/2008 *Times vary based on DOJ/FBI processing and may be longer or shorter than stated timeline
