Juarez Family • Choosing the school: Full time opportunity; Emotional, Physical safety for children; Academic Opportunity • Residence: Ellington • High value for education • Dynamics: 2 parents living in the home; both work full time; Grandmother resides with them also and does not drive; 4 children (ages 8, 4, 4, 1) • Application is for two boys aged 4 (twins): Mother is concerned about one of them not talking as much as the other twin • Family income is 80,000.00

Knox Family • Choosing the school: Full time opportunity; full day kindergarten; Out of school time care; educational philosophy • Residence: West Hartford • Negative personal educational experience in a conventional traditional school (Mom) • Dynamics: Single parent (Mom aged 31; attorney) with live in boyfriend; Single child (5) • Application is for one girl for kindergarten: child has been in family home care since age 6 months • Family income is 130,000.00
