  2. 1. Queen Queen was most famous 80s band. This band was a British rock group formed in 1970. Members were Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. Their first international level successful album was "A Night at the Opera" launched in 1975.

  3. 2. Duran Duran Duran Duran was an English new wave/synthpop band formed in Birmingham in 1978. They were a successful band of the 1980s and a leading band in the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" of the US.

  4. 3. Bon Jovi This rock band formed in 1983. The band originally consisted of lead vocalist Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Ritchie Samborra, bassist Alec John Such, keyboard David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres. Most famous album of this band was "Slippery When Wet".

  5. 4. Guns N Roses It was also a hard rock band formed in 1985 from Los Angeles, USA. They were best known for their album ‘Appetite for Destruction’ and songs like ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’. Guns N' Roses has been credited with reviving the mainstream popularity of rock music, at a time when popular music was dominated by dance music and glam metal.

  6. 5. Metallica Metallica was an American Thrash Metal band formed in 1981 . The original lineup was James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Lars Ulrich, Ron McGovney. The group came into mainstream from their Self-Titled album and the hit single "Enter Sandman".

  7. 6. U2 U2 was an Irish rock band from Dublin. Formed in 1976, the group consists of Bono, the Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. U2's early sound was rooted in post-punk but eventually grew to incorporate influences from many genres of popular music.

  8. 7. Journey It was another rock and classic band that formed in San Francisco in 1973, composed of former members of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch. They were great back then and people still love their music!

  9. 8. Tears for Fears Tears for Fears are an English pop/rock band formed in 1981. It was the greatest British import band in the known universe. Curt and Roland were working hard to make their fans happy.
