Capulets • Juliet- • daughter of Capulet, wife of Romeo • Good hearted, very passionate • Wants to be with Romeo; does not want to follow her father’s orders • Lord Capulet- • father of Juliet • Wealthy aristocrat • Very short-tempered • Wants is daughter to be happy but believes that he knows what is best for her. • Lady Capulet- • mother of Juliet • Greedy, unemotional • Wants her daughter to marry Paris for status and wealth.

Capulets • Tybalt- • nephew of Lady Capulet, cousin of Juliet • Evil, hateful, loves to fight and instigates violence, quick-tempered • Wants to kill Montagues • Nurse- • raised Juliet, servant to the Capulets • Mother figure to Juliet (motherly) • Very outspoken, gives Juliet advice • Wants Juliet to be happy • Peter- • servant to the Nurse • Sociable, but slow-witted • Carries out Capulet’s orders • Sampson and Gregory- • servants of Capulet • Mischievous • Carries out Capulet’s orders
