  1. How to Apply Salem-Keizer Public Schools accepts only electronic applications.  All supplemental documents should be added to your electronic application.  Please send all copies of your materials directly to EdZapp. 

  2. Visit: http//www.TeachingInOregon.org Visit: http//www.TeachingInOregon.org *Click on Filing the Application *Click on EdZapp

  3. If it is your first visit and you would like to create a new account, click on Register to complete a basic registration form. • If you have already established an account, you will need to enter youre-mail address and password to login. • You may change your username (email) and password at any time; please keep your email current so we can reach you.

  4. If you already have an EdZapp/TeachOregon account, you may use the same e-mail and password information for our application. • Much of your information will already be populated on your Salem-Keizer application; you only need to complete sections specifically for Salem-Keizer.

  5. Once you have logged in, fill out all of the appropriate sections of the application by clicking Build Resume: Click on the Questions tab, make sure you complete the: Preparation Experience Skills/Awards Review/Finish District Questions

  6. To complete the Documents section of the application, click on the Documents tab. A grid will appear showing the following required documents: Criminal History Verification Transcripts Three letters of reference Resume

  7. To access the Criminal History Verification form click on Details. Next screen, select Print District Form • Document will download and open as a PDF document in Adobe Acrobat Reader • Print document and complete

  8. If document does not automatically appear as stated above, it is blocked by your browsers pop-up blocker. A message will appear at the top of the page indicating the site is blocked. • Click on the message and select Download File *If form does still not appear, select Print District Form again and it should be available to open. *Print form and close Adobe Acrobat Reader

  9. If you are going to mail documents to edZapp, select Continue, on next screen, select Generate Bar Code Coversheet. Generate Barcode Coversheet *A printed “bar code” coversheet will be required for each document. *Documents can be sent individually or as one completed package, however, a coversheet must be included with each supplemental document.

  10. If you are going to upload documents: *Select I will upload documents myself * Click Continue *Click Browse *Find document on your computer where you have saved it in pdf format (all documents must be in pdf format), click Open *Click Continue

  11. If you are already an EdZapp paid subscriber and have uploaded documents to your online profile, you do not need to upload them again.  You can use the Documents feature of the Salem-Keizer Public Schools application for FREE. These documents will ONLY be visible to Salem-Keizer Public Schools. 

  12. Be sure to Activate your application so that we know you are interested. If you do not Activate your application, it will not be visible to us. 

  13. After you have completed the application, click on the Application Status/Jobs tab and then Current Openings. To apply for a specific position: *Find the position you are interested in and click on the Position Title * Click Apply Now *Click Submit * Click Accept and Confirm Application

  14. After you click Apply Now, if your application is NOT complete: *Click Continue. A checklist will open. Any items in red under the Required column must be completed. *Click on the item in red, enter the necessary information * Click Return to Checklist *If the Required items are complete, click Submit

  15. Areas and steps to double-check A) Is your application active? After logging in to the Salem-Keizer Public Schools’ online application, click the Application Status/Jobs tab.  This will tell you if you are currently active and visible to the Salem-Keizer Public Schools.

  16. B) Did you successfully apply for a specific job? After logging in to the Salem-Keizer Public Schools’ online application, click on the Application Status/Jobs tab then Jobs Applied To.  * If successful, the application history will show. *If it does not show, repeat steps to apply for each position.

  17. * Be aware that in Jobs Applied To there are two options to chose: show current jobs or show all jobs *If a job you applied for does not show click on show all jobs. * If you see a job that you did not want to apply for, and the job status is Active, you have the option to Withdraw.

  18. www.TeachingInOregon.org • On Filing The Application page: • Click on job postings to view current openings. • New jobs are posted every Tuesday and Thursday.
