Preliminaries • Pre-class (10 classwork points): • Take out your grade record sheets. • Take out a sheet of notebook paper. • Write your name and today’s date in the upper left corner. • Write “Can Animals Think?”centered on the top line. • Divide it into 3 equal columns. • Label the columns on the fourth line as follows: • Left column: “K” • Center column: “W” • Right column: “L”
Objective: • The students will be able to read, understand and respond to an informational text. • The students will be able to generate research questions by completing a K-W-L chart.
