This is the place to visit in Uzbekistan if you are a fan of historical monuments and ancient architecture Termez Termez city is located on the bank of the Amu Darya River and is, again, one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia. This city was subject to war in the early 1200s so you can see many forts, ancient battlegrounds, etc. . Termez is also famous for its ‘friendship bridge’, the border bridge used to cross from Uzbekistan into Afghanistan. Bukara Bukhara is a popular destination for tourists because it has so much to offer. The two best things to do there is visit beautiful and historical mosques and shop in colorful and busy bazaars. According to archaeological data, the city was established in the beginning of the Christian era. It is the former capital of Khwarezmia and the Khanate of Khiva. Itchan Kala in Khiva was the first site in Uzbekistan to be inscribed in the World Heritage List.
