  2. Compare Your HW Answers • What label would you give your generation? Explain why you picked this name and why it fits those born in your era. • How would you define the American Dream for your generation? How does this dream compare to that of your parents’ generation? Do you feel the American Dream is obtainable or elusive to most people in your generation?

Who is the narrator? • Annotate the text, looking specifically for information about the personality, point of view, attitude and demeanor of the narrator. • In the right hand column, write down any thoughts that you have, or connections that you can make beyond the text. • It might help to use that space to “translate” the material if it’s difficult to understand. • Answer the prompts based on the final paragraph.
