  9. Model Answer Writing The Han River is an important part of everyday life in Korea. Also, it has played an important role in the history of Korea. The Han River is a source of fresh water for humans and animals. However, it is more than that. It also provides food for people and animals, like fish and other edible marine life. Also, the people of Korea value the importance of the Han River for recreation. There are many things they can do on the river. These things include taking a water taxi, a boat ride or water skiing. They also enjoy activities along the river, such as bike riding and walking. The Han River has played an important role in the history of Korea. For example, it was used as a travel route to China, by way of the Yellow Sea. However, today, it is not used for navigation anymore. This is because the estuary (the area where the river flows into the sea) is located on the borders of the two Koreas and civilians cannot go there. So, the Han River is very important to Korea. It was important in ancient times and continues to be important today.
