  11. Model Answer Writing Benjamin Franklin is a very famous American man. He was an inventor, author, politician, diplomat and scientist. He is very famous for the kite experiment he did. He did this using a kite in a Philadelphia field in 1752. This experiment led to his invention of the lightning rod. He used the lightning rod to attract electricity to his house. He also helped create the Declaration of Independence. This was signed on July 4, 1776. He created many things. For example, he created the first public library in 1731 and the first fire department in 1736. He is also famous for helping to create the University of Pennsylvania. This is one of the top universities in the U.S. He also created the nation’s first hospital in 1751. Benjamin Franklin is famous for many things. There are statues of him all over the United States of America. You can also see his face on the American one hundred dollar bill.
