Study methodology • 374 people with HIV on ART from clinics and PLWHA care centres in six provinces in PNG participated in the study • Experiences of ART to adherence, sex and disclosure of stigma and knowledge and beliefs of ART • 36 of the people participated in an in-depth interview • Participants >16 yrs • Consent form was sought from all participants

Disclosure of HIV status • 91 % of participants disclosed their HIV status • 86% of participants in regular heterosexual relationships, and who had sex in previous six months, knew the HIV status of their sexual partners
Low rate of sexual activity amongst participants Condom use was relatively, but the extreme low use of condoms for anal sex is a concern Attention needs to be paid to increasing awareness of anal sex as means of HIV transmission High rates of disclosure of regular partner are surprising but extremely encouraging The emerging picture of serostatus mixing in regular relationship is of critical importance to the ongoing prevention of HIV in regular relationship Further research into the sexual practices of people with HIV on ART in is needed as are the practices of those who are not on treatment Conclusion
