  2. Who Do We Serve? • Individuals who • Are homeless • Are in less than desirable conditions • Have limited social support • Come from all over the island

  3. Services Offered • Basic needs: • Meal program, serving about 200 plus hot meals a day • Clothing boutique • Laundry facilities • Showers • Laundry • Hair care • Security

  4. Services Offered • Second level – access to professional services • Social work & nurses from Eastern Health • Primary health care collaborative • Three physicians • Advanced Education and Skills • Client service officer

  5. Services Offered • Third level – Empowering services • Computer access • Adult literacy • Social enterprise

  6. Guest Demographics • 800 guests, aged 25 or older • From all over the province, and even outside of it • Many have barriers, such as mental health illnesses • Common factor of living in poverty • Why registration?

  7. Volunteer Demographics • 500 volunteers assist the guests and employees • From various backgrounds and life experiences • Can serve as companions to guests • Can also help with administrative duties • Volunteer Coordinator
