GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS 24.0 Credits Required for Graduation Pass State Assessments (FCAT, EOC, PARCC) 2.0 GPA Required • English – 4.0 credits • Math – 4.0 credits (Including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2) • Science – 3.0 credits (Including Biology) • Social Studies – 3.0 credits (World History 1.0, American History 1.0, Am. Government .5, Economics .5) • H.O.P.E. – 1.0 credit • Fine Arts/Practical Art – 1.0 credit • Every student must earn 0.5 credit in a VIRTUAL COURSE

  7. FLORIDA VIRTUAL SCHOOL WWW.FLVS.NET Steps: 1) Sign up online at www.flvs.net 2) Get counselor approval3) Wait for virtual school instructions

Guidelines for students that want to leave campus to take a FLVS Course • If a student wants to leave campus for a FLVS course in place of a course on campus, they can only do this in the beginning of each semester. They can start FLVS courses at anytime when it is outside of the regular school day. • A student must be assigned to a teacher in FLVS before the first day of the semester for them to be able to leave campus. Just registering for the course is not good enough. They must be actively enrolled in the course. • Student must complete the course by the end of the semester and turn in the grade to their counselor.

  9. FLVS • To take an off campus course it must be in the beginning or at the end of the day. A student cannot come and go on campus. You are not permitted on campus during the time you have chosen for your FLVS course. • You are responsible for your own transportation when arriving after first period or leaving early. • You will not be able to drop a course on campus once it has started because you want to take a FLVS course to leave campus. You may take the FLVS outside of the school day but you will not be able to drop the course that is already in progress.

Florida Academic Scholars Award (FAS) 16 College Prep Credits 3.5 weighted (by BF) GPA 1290 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or 29 ACT 100 hours approved Community Service Florida Medallion Scholars Award (FMS) 16 College Prep Credits 3.0 weighted (by BF) GPA 1170 SAT (Critical Reading and Math) or 26 ACT 75 hours approved Community Service Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award (GSV) 16 core credits plus three Vocational Program credits 3.0 weighted (by BF) GPA and 3.5 unweighted GPA in 3 Vocational Courses 880 SAT (Critical Reading 440 and Math 440) OR ACT- 17Eng, 18 Rdg, 19 Math 30 hours approved Community Service

  11. Volunteer Community Service • Print forms from the internet. Go to www.pcsb.org click on Business at the top and then on Central Printing, then PCS forms. Then 2-Curriculum and Instruction. The forms are numbered 2-2602-1, 2-2602-2,2-2602-3, 2-2602-4. 2. See counselor for approval of forms BEFORE you do your volunteer work. Project must be pre-approved.

  12. Early College/Dual Enrollment Students must complete 10th grade to be eligible • 3.0 GPA – Letter sent to all eligible students from SPC • PERT Test – Must have Eligible Scores (104 – Reading; 113 – Math) • Application is in Guidance

  17. Shirts, Blouses and Dresses • All shirts and tops shall have sleeves and cover the shoulders.

  18. T-shirt Signage • All clothing, jewelry, or tattoos shall be free of the following: profanity; violent images, wording or suggestion; sexually suggestive phrases or images; gang related symbols; alcohol, tobacco, drugs or advertisements for such products.

  19. Shirts and blouses must cover the midriff, back, sides and all undergarments including bra straps at all times.

  20. Shorts, Skirts and Dresses • Must be hemmed and mid-thigh or longer in length

  21. Pants and Shorts • Clothing not properly buttoned, zipped, fastened or with inappropriate tears shall not be worn

  22. Shoes • Safe and appropriate footwear must be worn. Inappropriate footwear includes, but is not limited to, roller skates, skate shoes and bedroom slippers.

  23. Head coverings • No head coverings are allowed • Head bands, baseball hats, bandanas, doo rags or any other head covering is not permitted

  24. What else about the Code of Conduct? • Electronics • Cell phones, headphones, iPods, DVD players, CD players, radios, cameras and other electronic devices are not allowed to be visible or “on” while at school • What happens if I have one of these? • It will be confiscated and your parents will have to come to school to pick it up.
