Graduation Requirements for the • Class of 2023 • 22 Credits • 4credits of English Language Arts (ELA) • 4credits of Mathematics– including • Geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 + one additional credit • 3credits of Science – including • Biology, Chemistry OR physics + one additional credit • 3credits of social studies – including • Government, Economics, US & World History • .5credit of Health • .5 credit of Physical Education • 1credit of Visual, Performing, Applied Arts or CTE • 2credits of World Language • 4credits of Electives • Participation in the Michigan Merit Exam
Attendance Policy Full policy in student handbook online • Excellent attendance is imperative for success at Henry Ford II • Closed campus! Cannot leave for lunch. • Early dismissal process. • Unexcused absence • Skip a class, more than 10 min. late, no parent call in for absence Any work/quizzes/test due on a day when you are unexcused is worth 0 points.
Attendance Policy Cont. • Credit Review • There are 3ways to be placed onCREDIT REVIEW • 3 unexcused absences for the entire semester (20 weeks) • 1 unexcused after 7 excused • 15 total absences for the semester You could lose credit in that class if there is no improvement in your attendance- even if you are passing the class !!!!!
Tardy Policy Tardies accumulate for an entire semester. • IMPORTANT! • There are • NO “EXCUSED” • reasons for being tardy. • So, what does this really mean? Tardy is Tardy. • 12 tardies = 1 day suspension • 16 tardies = 2 day suspension and parent conference • 20 tardies = 3 day suspension & credit review (handbook)

Dress Code- Review in student handbook listed online Main Highlights to remember • No sleeveless shirts/tank tops • Watch the length of skirts & shorts • No low cut/midriff tops • No inappropriate slogans on clothing • (no references to drugs, alcohol, smoking, etc.) • No hats • No bedroom slippers or pajama pants • No sagging pants
Computers and technology use in classroom or media center only as instructed by Staff. Misuse may result in loss of privilege or discipline. Phone Use during school day Classroom policy Social Media warning Instagram, Twitter, Snap-Chat etc… Use of Technology
Safety and Health • Clinic-Main Office • Medication use – form must be on file in the office • All medicine dispensed from the main office • This includes over the counter medication • Exception: Students may carry own epi pen, rescue inhaler for asthma and diabetic supplies • Make sure all health plans are turned in to the main office • Asthma • Food Allergies • Medical Conditions
