  2. Help take steps to prevent cancer or detect it early • Help people eat right, get active, quit smoking and get screenings • Develop guidelines for recommended cancer screenings and nutrition and physical activity

Cancer is becoming the number one killer throughout the world. • There are 11 million+ cancer survivors • 64,000 different treatment options • ACS is the leader in the global cancer control movement. • Cancer costs are estimated to be about $895 billion worldwide. • Resources used for treatment • Rehabilitation • Missed work days • Mortality costs • Transportation • Wigs • Etc.
