2. Hallucinogens are psychoactive drugs that produce unusual changes in thought, feelings, and perception. Hallucinogens are illegal and have no medical use. Hallucinogens work on the brain and affect the senses and cause "hallucinations" - seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, or touching things that do not exist. Some hallucinogens occur naturally in trees, vines, seeds, leaves, and fungi (e.g. psilocybin or "magic mushrooms.") Other hallucinogens are made in laboratories by mixing chemical substances (ex. LSD.)

Effects on your body may include: your muscles twitch you feel numb your pupils get bigger you shake you may feel sick or vomit your heart beats faster your bloodpressurerises your coordination is poor you breathe faster and deeper than normal Bad trips are common first time users. The effects may include: extreme anxiety or fear frightening hallucinations, panic attacks, which may lead to taking risks; feelings of losingcontrol or "going mad," paranoia, suicide, or violence, which is rare.

4. Long term effects are few but flashbacks or times when you can feel the effects of the drug again, which can happen days, weeks, or even years after taking the drug. Tolerance can build rapidly, and cross-tolerance is another problem. Tolerance goes away when you stop using the drug regularly. LSD - Lysergic Acid Diethylamide can be made in laboratories and is derived from the ErgotFungus which is grown on the grain called rye, In pure form it is white, odorless powder. LSD comes in liquids, tablets, capsules, squares of gelatin, or blotting paper. Effects lasts 8 to 12 hours.

5. Psilocybin also known as MagicMushrooms, 'shrooms, or mush is eaten as dried mushrooms or white powder, which is the synthetic product. Effects last 3 to 6 hours. Warning: it is difficult to identify the wild mushroom. Eating the wrong mushroom can be dangerous and may cause permanent liver damage, or death. Mescaline, a Schedule 1 drug is the active ingredient taken from the fleshy part of the peyote cactus. Mescaline can also be produced synthetically or in a laboratory. It is legal to use peyote as a part of the religious rites of the NativeAmerican Church, otherwise use of this drug is illegal. This hallucinogen will produce delusions or hallucinations. Nausea or vomiting may occur with use of this drug.

6. PCP - Phencyclidine is a Schedule II drug. It is marketed under a number of street names such as Angel Dust, Supergrass, killer weed, embalming fluid, and rocket fuel. During the 1950's PCP was investigated as an anesthetic but due to its severe sideeffects, its development for human use was discontinued. PCP creates decreased distortion of sensory input, especially proprioception (awareness of the positions of arms and legs, etc). It also creates sensory deprivation. Adverse effects include: convulsions, memory impairment, coma and occasional death. People on PCP often exhabit characteristics that are similar to schizophrenia. Unlike LSD and Psliocybin PCP is addictive. MDMA also known as (aka) Ecstasy, E X, Eva, Adam, Love Drug, Hug Drug, or Essence, is an illegally manufactured variation of mescaline and amphetamine. 7. a "designerdrug" meaning is a substance on the market that is a chemical variation of another psychoactive drug. Ecstasy, or MDMA is a CNS stimulant. It also has hallucinogenic properties. Its effects last from 4 to 6hours, but some may persist up to 60hours! Brain imaging research in humans indicates that MDMA causes injury to the brain by affecting neurons that use the chemical seratonin tio communicate with the other neurons. The seratonin system plays a direct role in regulating mood, aggression, sexual activity, sleep, and sensitivity to pain. There is evidence that people who develop a rash that

8. Looks like acne after using MDMA may later in life develop liver damage, if they continue to use the drug. Another research links MDMA use to long-term damage to those parts of the brain critical to thought and memory. One study in primates showed exposure to MDMA for four (4) days, caused brain damage that was evident 6 to 7 years later. Methacathinone (Kwat, Cat) is a powerful stimulant that can produce a high that lasts up to 6 days. Kwat usually contains a mix of chemicals along with small doses of Drano or battery acid, which acts as a catalyst.

9. Ketamine whose primary use is in veterinary medicine, is a rapidly acting general anesthetic whose profile resembles that of a person on LSD. The use of ketamine as a general anesthetic for humans has been limited due to its adverse effects including delirium, and hallucinations. Ketamine, also known as Special "K" effects last only about 30 to 60 minutes as opposed to several hours, as with other drugs. Inhalants or deleriants are chemicals that produce vapors with psychoactive effects. The most commonly abused inhalants are: solvents, aerosols, model airplane glue, cleaning fluids, and petroleum products like kerosene and butane.

10. Sniffing highly concentrated amounts of the chemicals in solvents or aerosol sprays can directly induce heartfailure or death. Inhalants are also known to directly interfere with brain functioning, and may cause liver or kidney damage, or asphyxiation.
