OVERVIEW To control printing or charge for printing has become an imperative colleges and universities. Designed for both the library and the computer lab, OCS print station software will reduce wasteful printing and allow the student to print and pay for printing in a self service manner. Students can be given a ‘free’ balance to use up before they are required to pay.
What the Patron sees After the patron clicks on “print” from their application: The POP- UP shows the cost and allows the user to name the job.
Options on Client Screen The pop up screen is highly configurable. All text can be editable and foreign language tables are available. All fields are optional, and may or may not be displayed.
The Print Station – A windows PC Each job carries the name the user gave it. The user selects their job and clicks on ‘print’.
The user confirms payment After the user selects their job, the system asks them to pay for it. A Coin/Bill unit is attached to the PC print station via serial connection.

CONFIGURATION Separate or combined server/print station can be used and can service many print stations and client PCs. Coin & Bill Client PCs Many PCs can be serviced by one print station and one coin-op. The Coin-op serially connects to the print station Print Server/Print Release Station
System Requirements • Windows pop up screens: Any windows 9x or better • Print server: Less than 8 PCs, NT,2000-XP workstation. More than 8, NT,2000 server running on a basic PC. 200MHz 64 meg of RAM, • Separate print station: Windows 9x or better
