  3. MTAC # 120 Overview of Activities • Held 4 face-to-face meetings and 8 telecoms from January – November 2008 • Posted meeting notes and other information in MTAC Issue Tracking System (MITS) for MTAC 120 under “View Minutes”

MTAC # 120 Achieving Desired Results • Workgroup responsible for 9 tasks • Define business needs of mailers who target messaging around IHD • Outline entry processes to achieve IHD • Communicate CET definition and requirements • Identify effects of seasonality on mail preparation, entry, service performance

  5. MTAC # 120 Communicating CETs • Destinating Standard Mail has national CET • Originating Standard Mail linked to Critical Acceptance Time and defined locally • CETs for other products were determined by local offices • Publish CETs for 500 major induction points

  6. MTAC # 120 Communicating CETs • Short Term Solution: post link in Mail Entry Support with CET spreadsheet • Long Term Solution: incorporate CETs in new website

  7. MTAC # 120 Exploring Solutions for IHD Mailings • Created new RIBBS link - Mail Entry Support • IHD Guidelines contains 3 tabs • Chart aligning 2-day and 3-day IHD requests for Standard Mail with destination entry • Delivery Color Codes • Destination entry of Periodicals and Package Services

  8. MTAC # 120 Other Issues in Final Report • Need for Consistent Delivery • Lack of standardization for IHD requests • Concerns about FAST constraints

  9. MTAC # 120 Recommendations 1. Incorporate CETS into new web-based customer interface created in Phase 3 of labeling list redesign 2. Consider development of new service around mailings with requested IHD
