Braveheart Snowshoe Racing Series Sponsored by Atlas Snowshoes, REI, Wintergreen Northern Wear and Upper Midwest Trail Runners The world's 2nd largest snowshoe running series is taking place in the midwest this winter. Are you a runner looking to stay in shape in winter and have fun with a new sport? Yes, people do run on snowshoes but they are not your grandmothers snowshoes! There is even a national governing body called the USSSA that sponsors a national competition. The midwest has many snowshoe running races and the Braveheart series includes 14 of them to choose from. Do the most races and win! A pair of snowshoes from Atlas to the winner and runner up who do the most races. Plus random drawings to participants from Atlas and Wintergreen Northern Wear. Need someone to train with or to learn more? Braveheart leads a training group that does regular 10K shoes all winter long in the Twin Cities...Saturdays and some weeknights. Simply email Braveheart with name, email, phone, address to be part of the series and then within 1 week of completing each race that is part of the series. Time: The first series race is January 9, 2010 and they run through early March.
