This is NOTTwitter.com but as you can see it is itvviter.com. • So please check the URL although it is a tiny one before logging in to anysite unless you had typed in the website’s address by yourself . BEWARE OF TWITTER SCAM • Twitter become a popular medium for spammers and you can see the scam is name as ‘Your Online Timer’:
The link asks the user to click on a bit.ly link, which asks the user to authorize the ‘Your Online Timer’ application to access or update his/her Twitter account. • Once you allow the application to connect to your account, it will post tweets on your account saying that: “I have spent 379 days on Twitter. How much have you? Find out here : ’the link’. Below shows what happen when you click it:
CHED EVANS RAPE CASE • Ched Evans is the 13th person has been arrested by police for investigating all the naming of a rape victim on social media sites(twitter). • Wales and Sheffield United striker, ChedEvans was jailed for raping a 19-year-old woman near Rhyl. • He was convicted of rape and jailed for five years at Caernarfon Crown Court on 20 April. • He claimed that the woman had consented to sex at a hotel in May 2011. • He will appeal as said by his lawyers.
TWITTER SAFETY TIPS • Don’t give out easily your twitter password to others. • Remember that even private tweets can be read by the genius one. • Never tweet your phone number. • Don't tweet something specifics about your location. • Mark your tweets private so that only your family and friends can read them. • Don't tweet and drive at the same time. • Keep your profile information short. • Only follow people that you know in real life.
