Strong low pressure over the northern Plains will produce strong gusty winds across the area through Thursday afternoon. Winds will decrease somewhat this evening but will quickly increase and become strong after sunrise Thursday. Sustained winds of 35 to 45 mph can be expected with gusts upwards of 65 mph. The strongest winds will occur across the western Nebraska panhandle and adjacent areas of southeast Wyoming where a High Wind Warning is in effect through Thursday afternoon. Farther west winds will not be quite as strong but frequent gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be common through Thursday afternoon. This includes much of interstate 80 and interstate 25 in southeast Wyoming. Local Highlights
